Natel Energy | Summer 2024 Updates

This month we're excited about kicking off a new fish passage study at Natel HQ, working with white sturgeon as part of a DOE-funded project led by the Fish Conservation Physiology Lab at UC Davis. The past few months have gone swimmingly, too, marked by new leadership, international accolades, and an expanding hydraulic test facility. Here are a few of the highlights:

🌟 Bill Malus joined the Natel team as CEO. Bill has been a respected leader in the hydropower industry for more than 25 years and we are thrilled to have him onboard to accelerate our growth.

🌎 Gia Schneider was appointed to the International Hydropower Association Board of Directors as one of only two representatives from North America.

🏆 Natel won the Excellence in Power Generation award from the Global Energy Show Canada.

🐟 We updated our logo to better reflect our mission, our roots, and our forward momentum.

📣 We attended and spoke at events in the US, Canada, Switzerland and the UK and are looking forward to a full in-person and online calendar. Next on the horizon,  Abe Schneider will present on Wed, July 31, at a virtual summit on river connectivity hosted by the US Dept of Energy.
